CLG is pleased to announce that our Managing Shareholder, Roy Carrasquillo, has been named to EB-5 Investors Magazine’s list of «2019 Top 15 Corporate EB-5 Attorneys» for a second year in a row. This award recognizes the most influential corporate and securities law practitioners in the field of EB-5 securities and finance in 2019.
Roy has over 20 years of experience advising clients on corporate and securities matters and leads CLG’s EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program Services and Compliance Practice and Qualified Opportunity Zones Practice. He represents public and private clients using EB-5 as a source of capital, filing for an EB-5 Regional Center designation from USCIS, investors evaluating their redeployment option, as well as developers seeking to raise capital using the EB-5 investor visa program. He is experienced with public-private partnership projects using opportunity zones funding, EB-5 funds and other economic and tax incentives, as well as the combination of these with other programs, such as U.S. federal tax credits (i.e., LIHTC, NMTC, and HTCs) or bond financing.
Roy is considered a thought leader and is a sought-after commentator on the EB-5 Program, Opportunity Zones and Corporate matters. He has been cited by the Wall Street Journal, National Real Estate Investor, The Real Deal, Law 360, Daily Business Review, Real Estate Finance & Investment, The New York Law Journal, Debtwire, the Caribbean Business, and Tax Credit Advisor. Roy routinely lectures at EB-5 conferences across the United States and Latin America. He has also published several articles related to the EB-5 Program, including the interaction of EB-5 financing with other sources of capital.
CLG’s EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program Services and Compliance Practice is a multidisciplinary group of attorneys drawn from our Securities, Business Immigration, Taxes, Real Estate and Finance and Litigation practice areas, who provide an integrated approach for clients with matters involving the EB-5 Program Our EB-5 team has experience obtaining USCIS Regional Center designation for project pre-approvals and amendments (Form I-924) and Annual Reporting (Form I-924A). Our EB-5 immigration team also has experience centralizing and reviewing I-526 petitions for sources of funds on behalf of regional centers and/or issuers to ensure compliance with the EB-5 Program, as well as filing and reviewing I-526 and I-829 petitions on behalf of individual investors.
