Participation of Roy Carrasquillo in the most recent article of EB5 Investors Magazine, about USCIS announcement

Roy Carrasquillo, the Managing Shareholder and Co-Founder of Carrasquillo Law Group (CLG), was recently interviewed by EB5 Investors Magazine for an article about new initiatives recently announced by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to drive efficiency in the EB5 program.

As part of the initiative, USCIS plans to implement new agency-wide backlog reduction goals, expand premium processing for additional forms and improve timely access to the documents needed for employment authorization.

“This announcement seems to be in line with the efforts of the Biden Administration to reduce the processing times for various applications which is well received,” Carrasquillo told EB5 Investors Magazine.

USCIS says it is now working to reduce caseloads and anticipated processing times, so they can ensure fair and efficient services for applicants and petitioners. In particular, Roy said he hopes the processing times for I-526 petitions will trend downward in upcoming months.

“USCIS mentions that they would expand staffing and improve technology, but without the necessary funding to be allocated by Congress, these goals would be only dreams,” said Roy. “Nonetheless, we are hopeful that these efforts would result in some reduction to current processing times which would be welcomed by current petitioners.”
