Our Qualified Opportunity Zones Practice is a multidisciplinary group of attorneys drawn from our Securities, Finance, Real Estate and Taxes practice areas. Our attorneys provide an integrated approach for clients with matters involving the Qualified Opportunity Zones Program created by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act or exploring how to take advantage of this program.

Our Qualified Opportunity Zones practitioners work regularly with developers, investors, fund managers, lenders and business owners on matters related to the Qualified Opportunity Zones Program, including the formation of Qualified Opportunity Zones Funds.

Our attorneys also have experience with incorporating different economic and tax incentives to a project’s capital structure and we assist clients on combining Qualified Opportunity Zone Opportunities, with other incentives programs such as EB-5 financing, U.S. federal tax credits (i.e., LIHTC, NMTC, and HTCs), as well as local, state and federal subsidies.

Our attorneys have the experience in corporate, securities, real estate, fund formation, syndications, startups, tax advantaged investing, asset acquisitions and dispositions, bond financing, commercial financing, affordable housing and tax credits, high-net-worth investment, fiduciaries, renewable energy, and business formation matters in order to assist all Qualified Opportunity Zone participants in every phase of structuring, investment, development and operation of their projects.
